Time For A New Adventure

Goodbyes are often the hardest part of traveling. I don't like goodbyes in general though. They, to me anyway, seem final as if you are never going to see that person again. I prefer the "see you laters" or in this case see you in three weeks. Once the see you in three weeks is done and over with there's nothing left but excitement of the unknown. Last year we traveled to Australia and had the time of our lives. It was a huge check off of the bucket list for me personally which led me to look toward the next country on the list... New Zealand. I will admit it...I'm a super nerd (everything from Star Wars to Doctor Who) and that nerdiness began with Lord of the Rings all those years ago. So to go to the country where I will essentially be within the scenery of Middle Earth is a feeling that is indescribable. It's a childhood daydream come true. I am essentially wordless on how fortunate and how lucky I am to have the past two years happen where I have had the opportunity to visit my top two countries on my bucket list. So I am ready to hop on that plane again today and spend the next three weeks trekking and adventuring through the beautiful New Zealand. I'm not entirely sure what is going to happen there and what all we will do but that is half the fun of it right? Starting out each day with no agenda and letting the road take you wherever it chooses. My camera will get a lot of use as will this blog to help document and record all my happenings so I may later look back and reminisce and remember. The blog is for my benefit but I will allow others to read it if they want because why not? Come on an adventure with me into Middle Earth! It is time for a new adventure...
